my friend calls these my 'happy feet' dj-ing at a local pub.
I started making mix tapes for my friends and sending them out through www.mixcloud.com. All the lovely feedback gave me so much confidence and some of the tapes are like therapy themselves + I could do it in private at home when my confidence was low.. Music has always been a passion, but it was one of the things my ex would control - deriding my choices and taking over what could be played. Now I'm known as DJ-Lou by my new friends and I've started being asked to play at pubs and parties again. Admin: That sounds like a really good way of getting all the pain and aggression out of your system while at the same meeting new people, new skills and encouraging the goody hormones 'dopamine' and 'seratonin' to blast around your system!
